Nicholas Wegman, MS
Licensed Associate Counselor
Nicholas is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) practicing under the supervision of Dr. Dennis Apker. He earned his Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Southwest in March 2026.
Nicholas believes effective therapy begins with a trusting, collaborative relationship in which clients feel heard, respected, and accepted. Grounded in existential theory, his practice places self-discovery at the forefront of therapeutic work, helping clients explore their identity, values, meaning, and purpose while moving toward greater authenticity and fulfillment. His life experiences have fostered a well-rounded perspective and an appreciation for each person’s unique journey.
Nicholas utilizes a client-centered approach incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), grief therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. His background in teaching music to children and veterans, developing culinary learning opportunities for youth, and coaching children’s mountain biking clubs has strengthened his ability to build rapport, foster connection, recognize individual strengths, and meet clients where they are. He also values the restorative benefits of the outdoors as an opportunity for reflection, perspective, and personal growth.
