Clinical Psychology Doctoral Trainee
MaKenna is a practicum doctoral student supervised by Dr. Linsey Lancellotti. She received a bachelor’s of science degree in psychology with a minor in behavioral and mental health from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology from Midwestern University.
As MaKenna refines her theoretical perspective, her focus remains on supporting individuals on their path to achieving personal well-being. She believes in a collaborative therapeutic approach that is tailored to the individual's unique perspectives and experiences while continuously promoting an environment of exploration, compassion, respect, and self-acceptance. Her clinical interests include cognitive impairment, caregiver stress, life transitions, coping with grief and loss, trauma, substance abuse, depression, and anxiety, particularly regarding older adults and their families.
