Ms. Tiffany Avila is a Licensed Associate Counselor who received her Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education with College Counseling at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. Throughout her time at Slippery Rock University, Tiffany was a graduate assistant for the Office for Inclusive Excellence where she worked as an advisor for multicultural organizations allowing her to gain strong interpersonal skills with people of differing backgrounds. Tiffany completed her counseling practicum at the Slippery Rock University Counseling Center before returning to Arizona to complete her internship hours at Sentience Psychological Services. She is currently under the supervision of Dr. Lynnette Suarez as she works towards her independent licensure (LPC).  

Tiffany has experience working with adults in both long-term care facilities and outpatient settings and is dedicated to creating a space where others can feel safe to share their experiences. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals with varying mental health needs including anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, and emotional dysregulation. Tiffany currently utilizes a mixture of Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), Humanistic Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory, and skills from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
